Check of level of liquid of the power steering
In difference from the steering mechanism of usual type, in the reechny transfer equipped with the hydraulic booster working liquid which starts to need eventually replacement is used.
Location of the tank of GUR liquid is shown on accompanying illustrations in Settings and routine maintenance of the car. The tank is equipped with the screw cover which is turning off counter-clockwise.
1. Several times turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop then establish forward wheels of the car in rectilinear situation and to muffle the engine. 2. In order to avoid dirt hit in hydraulic system wipe a cover and a tank surface pure rags. 3. Rotating counter-clockwise, remove from the tank equipped measuring shchupy a cover. To the touch estimate temperature moistening an edge щупа liquids.
4a. Carefully wipe an edge щупа pure неворсящейся rags, screw a cover into place, then again remove it and on щупу visually define level of liquid which should be depending on weather conditions in limits of the corresponding range (address to an accompanying illustration). |
4b. On some models level of working liquid can be estimated through translucent walls of its tank (address to an accompanying illustration). Try not to allow an exit of level of GUR liquid out of limits of the bottom border of an admissible range. |
5. If necessary liquid is added directly in the tank through a mouth of the last by means of a funnel. Use working liquid only the recommended grade. 6. If need for correction of level of liquid arises regularly and often, check on existence of signs of leaks the steering pump, a case of reechny transfer, and also all connecting lines of a hydraulic path of GUR system and their shtutserny connections. 7. At the idling engine remember level of working liquid in a tank. 8. Stop the engine and check distinction in GUR liquid levels at the working and stopped engine. If liquid level considerably changed (more, than on 5 mm), it is necessary to pump over GUR system. |
