Check of a condition of protective covers of power shafts

Protective covers serve for prevention of hit of dirt in hinges of equal angular speeds (CV JOINTS) of power shafts of the car, and also hold the greasing filled in hinges. Greasing and oil hit on external surfaces of protective covers lead to a premature exit them out of operation in view of what covers should be examined periodically and carefully to wash out solution of soap water.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Having cleared covers, check them on existence of cracks, cuts and traces of leakages of greasing (address to an accompanying illustration). Defective covers are subject to replacement (see. Head Transmission line). Estimate reliability of a tightening of bandage tapes of fastening of covers.
