Safety cushions – the general information
General information
Some from models considered in the real Management are equipped with system of the additional safety (SRS) which is better known under the name of safety cushions. The system provides additional protection of the driver and the forward passenger of the car at strong front blow. The module of a driver's pillow is placed under an overlay of a steering wheel. The module of a passenger safety cushion is located on the right under the car dashboard on which surface the warning inscription in the form of SRS abbreviation is thus put.

Modules of safety cushions Pillow activation (ек) safety occurs under condition of operation of sensors of the directed overloads of SRS. Short circuit of a chain of the module of a safety cushion leads to almost instant filling the with the last with the nitrogen which is allocating as a result of combustion of a poroshkoobrazny mix азида of sodium with oxide of copper. In case of failure of the onboard storage battery the system is switched to a food from the reserve source which has been built in in the SRS module. It is necessary to notice that the passenger safety cushion usually is more on volume, than driver's and is equipped with the metal bearing case, at module operation being divided into two half, and a finishing cover.
Block of sensors / diagnostic module The module of sensors and self-diagnostics of SRS provides power supply giving to modules of safety cushions at the moment of the collision causing rather strong directed overloads. Operation of system occurs even in case of crash of the onboard storage battery. Poll of a condition of the SRS components is made by the module at each start of the engine and accompanied by short-term operation built in in the dashboard of the car of a control lamp of "AIR BAG". In case of what exit - beat from knots out of operation shutdowns of a control lamp does not occur. Operation of a control lamp testifies to malfunction in system also during movement, the car should be driven away as soon as possible on car repair shop.
