The electric drive of window regulators – general information and check of serviceability of functioning

The control system of functioning of window regulators consists of switches of management, the relay, driving electromotors, regulators of window regulators, mechanisms of lowering-podnimaniya of glasses and connecting electroconducting. Electromotors of a drive of window regulators are located in door assemblies of the car.

Management of window regulators can be carried out from a driver's place by means of the main switch, or by means of manipulations with individual door switches. Each of glasses is equipped with the separate driving electromotor of reversive type. Switching of a command key polarity of connection of the motor and, as a result, the direction of its rotation changes.

The contour is protected by a safety lock and the chain breaker. Also individual protection of each of electromotors is provided by own breaker of the chain preventing possibility of a conclusion out of operation of all system at jamming of separate glass.

The electric drive of window regulators functions only at the included ignition. In addition, on many models possibility of blocking of window regulators back (and sometimes and a lobby passenger) doors from the main switch is provided. Do not forget about this function at check of failures of the electric drive.

Described checks have the most general character therefore if their performance does not allow to reveal unequivocally a cause of failure, drive away the car for more detailed diagnostics on car repair shop.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In default window regulators always first of all check a condition of the corresponding safety lock and/or the chain breaker. If window regulators of back doors cope only from the main switch, check conductivity of the blocking switch in the released condition. The faulty switch replace.
2. Check an electroconducting condition on a chain site between switches and the assembly block of safety locks. Make necessary repair.
3. At refusal of functioning of the main switch only one of glasses, check serviceability of operation of this window regulator from the individual switch.

The told does not belong to a window regulator of a driver's door.

4. If the window regulator works only from one of two switches, check serviceability of functioning of the suspected switch (distribution of provodimost).
5. The faulty switch (also) is subject to replacement. If the switch as it should be, check on break and short circuit a chain on a site between the corresponding switch and the driving electromotor of this window regulator.
6. If the window regulator does not work from both switches, remove the panel of an internal upholstery from this door and check serviceability of giving of a food both on the switch, and on the driving motor of a regulator (at the relevant position of the switch).
7. At serviceable giving of a food on the electromotor separate glass from a window regulator regulator (see. Head the Body) and manually move it up-down, checking freedom of moving. Also check serviceability of a condition of a regulator. If the regulator in norm, and glass freely moves in both directions, replace the driving electromotor. At violation of smoothness of movement of components eliminate the found hindrances, grease rubbing knots and replace the damaged details.
8. If a food on the motor does not move, check on conductivity existence electroconducting on a chain site between switches and motors (in case of need address to schemes of electric connections at the end of the present Chapter). If the contour is equipped with the executive relay, check serviceability of a zapityvaniye and grounding of the last. Make sure that the relay regularly gives out tension on the switched-on electromotor, in case of need replace the relay.
9. Having made necessary corrections, repeat check of functioning of window regulators.
