Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine

On all-wheel drive cars it is necessary to dismantle previously power shafts and assembly of forward differential, – it is usually simpler to remove the engine.

Details of installation of the pallet of a case and oil pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Elements of installation of the pallet of a case of the engine and the oil pump are shown on an illustration above.
2. Remove the engine from the car and establish it on the suitable stand.
3. Remove щуп measurements of level of impellent oil.
4. Merge impellent oil and remove the oil filter (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
5. Give 24 bolts and two nuts of fastening of the pallet of a case then separate it from the engine block, in case of need having accurately hooked it a small screw-driver or a shpatel

try not to damage interfaced surfaces.
6. Give 7 bolts and two nuts of fastening of a dempfiruyushchy plate and remove it.
7. Give 18 bolts and two nuts of fastening of the top part of the pallet and remove it.

The top part of the pallet of a case fastens bolts of different length do not mix them at installation! On perimeter of the pallet there are some inflow against which it is possible to rest the lever at separation of the pallet from the block. Try not to damage interfaced surfaces.

8. If necessary remove a maslozabornik with laying.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Accurately scratch out from interfaced surfaces of the pallet and the block all traces of hermetic and a material of old laying. Carefully wipe interfaced surfaces the rags moistened in acetone. Clean a carving of deaf boltovy openings in aluminum molding of the block.
2. Check a flange of stamped section of the pallet on existence of signs of deformation, in case of need make the corresponding rikhtovka.
3. Check a condition of the mesh filter of a maslozabornik, wash out solvent a maslozaborny tube, replace sealing laying, establish assembly of a maslozabornik on the engine and with demanded effort tighten fixing bolts.
4. If removed, establish into place a maslozabornik with new laying, tightening bolts of his fastening with demanded effort.

5. Impose on the specified surfaces the RTV hermetic roller in thickness of 2-3 mm (address to an accompanying illustration).

6. Accurately press the pallet to the block of the engine and screw fixing bolts (address to an accompanying illustration). Make sure that between the back ends of the top part of the pallet and the block of the engine there is a gap not less than 0.2 mm. Moving from the center outside, in three-four receptions tighten fixture with demanded efforts.

7. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Tighten fixture with demanded effort. Do not forget to replace the filter and to add oil.
8. Start the engine and check the pallet on existence of signs of development of leaks. Check also pressure of oil.
