Removal and installation of the fuel pump

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Dump pressure in a power supply system (see. Undressed Sbrasyvaniye pressure in a power supply system).
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

3. For access to the pump in salon, under a back rug, there is a demountable cover (address to an illustration above).
4. Remove back seats, having turned out their fixing bolts, previously having removed from them covers.
5. Remove an overlay of a threshold, a lateral slip and an overlay of a step. Then remove carpets.
6. Uncover the technological hatch.
7. Disconnect from a pump arm fuel lines, previously having removed from them dirt (address to an accompanying illustration).
8. Give eight screws and carefully take pump assembly with the fuel consumption sensor from a fuel tank (address to an accompanying illustration). Laying can be thrown out – for installation it is required new.

Try not to bend a leg of a float of the sensor.

9. Liberate the bottom section of pump assembly from a basic arm (address to an illustration of the Detail of installation of assembly of the fuel pump/sensor of fuel consumption). Disconnect electroconducting from assembly of the fuel pump/sensor of fuel consumption and remove a fuel hose.
10. Remove rubber consolidation and a lock ring of fastening of the mesh filter of a toplivozabornik.
11. Remove the mesh filter and estimate extent of its pollution, in case of need make replacement.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace sealing laying of a landing flange, at the corresponding complete set replace both sealing washers of a hollow bolt of the shtutserny socket. Tighten fixture with demanded effort.
