System of electronic injection of fuel (EFI) – the general information

Toyota Land Cruiser cars considered in the real Management are equipped with system of electronic injection of the fuel (EFI), consisting of three main subsystems: systems of distribution of supply of fuel, system of a podmeshivaniye of air and electronic control system.

System of distribution of supply of fuel

The electric fuel pump is placed in a fuel tank and provides a constant pressure of supply of fuel to the fuel highway. In the fuel highway fuel is evenly distributed between injectors which inject it directly into inlet ports of chambers the combustion located over inlet valves. Management of amount of fuel injected into the engine carries out the electronic module (ESM). The special regulator carries out correction of pressure in a power supply system depending on depth of depression in the inlet pipeline. The fuel filter is established between a gasoline pump and the fuel highway and serves for protection of components of a path against pollution.

System of a podmeshivaniye of air

The structure of system includes an air purifier, the throttle case, and an air sleeve connecting listed components. The special sensor (IAT sensor) continuously traces temperature of air soaked up in the engine, sending the relevant information on ESM which considers it at determination of duration of the impulses operating opening of injectors. Management of the provision of a butterfly valve in the case of a throttle is carried out by the driver by means of a gas pedal. When opening zaslonka speed of supply of air increases that leads to decrease in temperature of a stream. IAT immediately notifies ESM on the occurred changes therefore the module in due time corrects supply of fuel.

Electronic control system

The microprocessor electronic module of management (ESM) exercises administration of functioning of systems of injection, ignition and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases. Accepting signals from a set of information sensors and analyzing received information, ESM constantly supervises such working parameters of the engine, as temperature of soaked-up air, extent of opening of a butterfly valve, temperature of cooling liquid, turns of a cranked shaft, speed of movement of the car, the content of oxygen in the fulfilled gases, etc. On the basis of the analysis of arriving information of ESM defines duration of opening of the injectors, providing optimum at the moment time structure of an air and fuel mix. The part of information sensors and the relay of their management is not included directly into structure of system of injection of fuel and are scattered on an impellent compartment of the car.
