General information

The scheme of movement of a stream of karterny gases in the engines equipped with PCV system of a typical design


The PCV system (address to an illustration above) serves for decrease in issue in the atmosphere of hydrocarbonic connections at the expense of a conclusion from the engine of karterny gases. The purge of the block is carried out by pro-race of fresh air arriving from an air purifier through a case in which it mixes up with the collected evaporations and broken of chambers of combustion by gases and deduced via the PCV valve in the inlet pipeline.

The PCV valve, air inlet and set of the vacuum hoses connecting listed devices to the engine belong to number of the main components of system.

For the purpose of maintenance of stability of turns of idling the PCV valve blocks a purge stream at deep depression in the inlet pipeline. In case of violation of serviceability of functioning of the engine (as, for example, at wear process of piston rings) the system makes branch of excess of karterny gases through a ventilating tube back in an air purifier and their reburning in combustion chambers.

Intake of karterny gases in the engine is carried out through the case of a throttle which starts to become covered over time by tarry deposits, in particular around a butterfly valve arrangement. In view of told, it is necessary to make cleaning of the case of a throttle from time to time.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of serviceability of functioning of the PCV valve it should be liberated from the rubber landing plug and to shake. The serviceable valve when stirring should publish the noise proceeding from a locking needle, – in case of need make replacement of klapanny assembly.
2. Start the engine on single turns and press a finger to an opening in the valve, – in assembly depression should take place. If depression is not felt, at first check passableness of a vacuum hose, then (if a hose as it should be) replace the valve.

Replacement

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having pulled vertically up, take the valve from the rubber landing plug. Estimate a plug condition, in case of need make replacement.
2.Если the valve is hammered by tarry deposits, the probability of violation of passableness of a connecting hose is not excluded also, – remove a hose and wash out it solvent.
3.Промыв a hose, check it on existence of signs of aging of a material and mechanical damages. Track reliability of fixing of a hose on reception unions.
4. In case of need make PCV valve replacement.
