ESM installation details

1. On all ESM models fastens on the right under the dashboard, behind a ware box (address to an illustration above), – for the purpose of ensuring access remove a ware box (see. Head Body).
2. At the working engine with finger-tips sharply knock on a processor wall, – if ESM is faulty, the postukivaniye can lead to violation of stability of turns of the engine, at the same time on the display of the scanner connected to OBD system the current data on characteristics of operation of the engine will be highlighted.
3. Before starting replacement of the module check serviceability of a condition and reliability of fastening of contact connections of electroconducting of its chain. Each contact socket is painted in individual color that excludes probability of the wrong connection of electroconducting at ESM installation. In the absence of obvious signs of violation of serviceability of functioning of ESM the car should be driven away on car repair shop for carrying out more detailed diagnostics of the module. |

Replacement

Models of cars considered in the real Management are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving traumas at its casual operation (see. Onboard electric equipment). Electroconducting of a chain of SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation.

In order to avoid ESM damage by the electrostatic category, try not to touch contact plugs of the module. Whenever possible make self-grounding.
|
The ECM module is fixed under the dashboard behind a ware box (address to an illustration above).

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for equipment introduction in action! |
Disconnect SRS (see the prevention provided above), then remove a ware box and a heater air line (at the corresponding complete set) (see. Head Body).
2. Disconnect from ESM the electroconducting, each contact socket is painted in individual color that excludes probability of the wrong connection of electroconducting at ESM installation.

In case of need make self-grounding for dumping of a static electricity. |
3. Turn out fixing bolts and carefully remove ESM.
4. Installation is made upside-down. |
