1. Remove the generator from the engine (see. The section Removal and generator installation) also lay it on a pure workbench.
2. Give nuts of fastening of a back cover, release a plug B nut, throw off from the plug a washer and the insulating plug, then uncover (address to an illustration above).
3. Turn out screws of fastening of a regulator of tension and a shchetkoderzhatel.
4. Remove a shchetkoderzhatel and a tension regulator from a back end face of a frame. If dismantling was made for the purpose of regulator replacement, pass to performance of procedure of paragraph 8, establish the new block, collect the generator and establish it on the engine (see. Section Check of a condition of system of a charge). The description of procedure of replacement of brushes is provided in below-mentioned paragraphs.
5. Measure size of a vystupaniye of each of brushes if results of measurements leave for the bottom border of an admissible range (see. Specifications), replace brushes assembled with the holder.

On some models the soldering iron can be necessary for replacement of brushes.

6. Check smoothness of a course of brushes in directing the holder.
7. Remove vypryamitelny assembly. Remove four rubber insulating inserts and a sealing plate.
8. By means of a marker or a chertilka mark the mutual adjusting provision of forward and back casings of the generator.
9. Give a fixing nut and remove a driving pulley from a rotor shaft of the generator.
10. Give four fixing nuts divide generating assembly into two parts.
11. Remove a persistent washer and take a rotor from a forward part of assembly.



1. Measure resistance between two sliding contact rings (address to an accompanying illustration), the nominal rate makes 2-4 Ohm. Make sure of lack of conductivity between each of contact rings and rotor assembly. At negative results of check, and also in case of excessive wear of contact rings replace a rotor.
2. Check on break statorny windings of the generator, conductivity should take place between each pair of face plugs of assembly. If in any of measurements the ohmmeter issues the infinite indication, replace a stator. Check windings on existence of signs of breakdown on weight (conductivity existence between the plug and a frame. The defective stator is subject to replacement.
3. Check serviceability of a condition of positive and negative section of the rectifier.   
   a. It is necessary to begin with check of positive section, – assembly should have conductivity only in one of the directions, change of polarity should lead to situation change on opposite (address to an accompanying illustration). It is necessary to check each of assembly plugs serially;
   b. Further pass to check of negative section, – act in a similar manner (address to an accompanying illustration).



1. Installation of components is made as it should be the return to an order of their dismantle. Pay attention an order of performance of procedures.
2. When landing a shchetkoderzhatel to a shaft of the generator it is necessary to wring out serially by means of a small screw-driver each of coal brushes.
3. Screw screws of fastening of a shchetkoderzhatel and a tension regulator.
4. Track reliability of a tightening of three nuts of fastening of a back cover.
5. Collect terminal assembly and fix its components the nut.
6. Establish the generator on the engine (see. Section Removal and generator installation).
