Reduction of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (VMT)

The highest point of a piston stroke in the cylinder is called as the top dead point (VMT). Strictly speaking, in 4-тактных engines in the course of rotation of a cranked shaft this situation is reached by each of pistons twice: once at the end of a step of compression and the second – at the end of a final step. At performance of procedures of control and engine adjustment in overwhelming majority of cases the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston (usually the first cylinder) is used.

Need for piston reduction (it) in situation VMT arises at carrying out many procedures, in particular, at adjustment of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye, replacement of components of a drive of GRM and so forth.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure that transmission is transferred to neutral situation and strongly cock the parking brake, or prop up back wheels of the car protivootkatny boots. On the petrol engine also disconnect ignition system, having disunited electric sockets of primary (NV) of a contour (a wire of smaller diameter) bobbin assemblies (see. Head engine Electric equipment). Take a key from the ignition lock. Turn out candles (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
2. Reduction of any of pistons in situation VMT is made by a provorachivaniye of a cranked shaft of the engine by one of described below ways. If to take a detached view of the engine in front of (GRM drive), normal rotation of a cranked shaft clockwise will be considered.
  1. The most effective method is the shaft provorachivaniye in the normal direction (do not try to turn at all a shaft in an opposite direction!) for a bolt screwed in an end face of its forward pin by means of a face natural by a ratchet drive

    On some models for this purpose it is necessary to remove the bottom filter from the forward passenger;

  2. To save time remote control use by starter functioning (follow instructions of manufacturers of the device) will allow. As soon as the piston will appear rather close from VMT of the end of a step of compression, the starter stops and further adjustment is carried out by a method described in point and;
  3. In the presence of the assistant the preliminary provorachivaniye of the engine can be carried out by short inclusions of a starter from a driver's place under the direction of the operator. The same principle, as described in point b. Final adjustment, besides, is made manually, by means of a face key (see point and).
3. On the petrol engine 2UZ-FE management of distribution of ignition carries out the onboard processor by means of the bobbin assemblies established over each candle (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
4. For engine reduction in situation VMT turn out a candle of the first cylinder and screw on its place компрессиометр, the carving nozzle with a connecting hose in length not less than 15 centimeters (is required see. Head Engine).

5. Start to turn a cranked shaft for a pulley bolt in the normal direction (see paragraph 2). Piston approach to the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression is accompanied by pressure lifting in the cylinder. Continue to turn a shaft until there will be a combination of adjusting labels (address to an accompanying illustration), at casual "proskakivaniye" of situation VMT dump pressure on a measuring instrument and turn a shaft on two complete revolutions!
6. A guarantee of reduction of the engine in the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder is adequate combination of adjusting labels on asterisks cranked and camshafts.
7. Now, that serially, as ignition (see. Specifications), to provide in VMT pistons of the remained cylinders rather simply consistently to turn a cranked shaft in the normal direction with a step:

  1. On engines 2UZ-FE – 180 °;
  2. On engines 1HD-FTE – 360 °.
