Elements of installation of a radiator

|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action! |
2. Empty cooling system (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car). If replacement of cooling liquid was made recently, keep for further use (see the prevention in the Section Antifreeze – general information). At the corresponding complete set remove the case pallet.
3. Release collars and disconnect from a radiator the top and bottom hoses (address to an illustration above).

4. Disconnect perelivny a hose from a radiator mouth.
5. Disconnect from the top part of a radiator an air tube.
6. Remove the fan of system of cooling assembled with the casing (see. Section condition Check, removal and installation of the fan of system of cooling).
7. On models from AT disconnect from a radiator hoses of a cooler of ATF, prepare for collecting spilled liquid, at once закупорьте the open ends of shtutserny knots.
8. In case of need remove the storage battery and its adjusting pallet (see. Head engine Electric equipment).

9. Remove a forward decorative lattice (see. Head Body).
10. Turn out bolts of fastening of a radiator.
11. Remove a radiator, try not to spill cooling liquid and not to cut fingers about keen edges of plates of the heat exchanger.
12. After removal from the car the radiator can be checked on existence of signs of development of leaks, damages and violations of internal passableness of the heat exchanger. Any repair should be made only in the conditions of a specialized workshop with use of the necessary equipment.
13. Remains of insects and vegetation can be removed from space between heat exchanger plates a way of blowing by the compressed air (do not forget to put on goggles!), or vychishcheniye soft brush. Try not to bend thin plates of the heat exchanger and not to cut about them fingers. Before installation the radiator should be washed out by a giving way in water through a garden hose.
14. Installation is made upside-down. Track correctness of placement of a radiator on the support and behind reliability of a tightening of fixture of all components.
15. On completion of installation fill in in system cooling liquid of demanded structure (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
16. Start the engine and check it on existence of signs of leaks. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature (both hoses of a radiator should become hot to the touch). Check level of cooling liquid, in case of need add the corresponding quantity of a mix of demanded structure.
17. On models from AT check ATF level, in case of need execute the corresponding adjustment. |

Broad tank
|

1. On the majority of models to liberate a broad tank from located in the neighbourhood with the battery of a basic arm it is rather simple to pull it up, do not forget to disconnect previously perelivny a hose.
2. Merge cooling liquid in the prepared capacity, then examine tank walls on existence of cracks and other mechanical damages, in case of need make replacement.
3. Installation is made upside-down. |
