Removal, installation and adjustment of provision of a cowl

Removal and installation

The panel of a cowl has decent weight therefore it is necessary to get support of the assistant.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl, then cover wings with special overlays or simply old blankets for protection them from damage to process of dismantle of the panel.
2. Disconnect all cables and the wires disturbing to removal of a cowl. Also disconnect brought to the nozzles of a tube of giving of liquid of washing of a windscreen fixed in a cowl.
3. A marker or a chertilka lead round loopy levels for a guarantee of correctness of fastening of a cowl at assembly.
4. Ask the assistant to take a cowl and give bolts of fastening of loopy levels.
5. Installation is made upside-down. At installation to the place of an old cowl track, that loopy levels were established taking into account the labels put in the course of dismantle (see paragraph 3). If cowl replacement is made, it is necessary to make adjustment of its situation (see below).

Adjustment

After adjustment of a cowl it is necessary to replace its given konusny bolts with the new.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adjustment of provision of a cowl in an aperture of an impellent compartment is made by shift in the relevant party of loopy levels after weakening of their fixture (address to an accompanying illustration).

If at manufacturer the being self-aligned bolts which are not allowing possibilities of carrying out similar adjustment are applied to fastening of levels, it is necessary to replace such fixture with bolts of standard type, without having forgotten to equip them with flat and lock washers.

2. Adjustment of height of a first line of a cowl is made by a reversing or a wraparound of rubber support so that the edge of a cowl was flush with wings (address to an accompanying illustration).

3. The height of back edge of a cowl is regulated if to weaken four screws of fastening of loops to a partition of an impellent compartment.

4. Correction of provision of assembly of a latch of the lock of a cowl on a basic plate of a radiator can be in case of need executed (in the vertical and horizontal planes), the cowl should be closed densely and fall aflush with surfaces of wings (address to an accompanying illustration). For adjustment of the lock lead round heads of bolts of fastening of assembly of a latch a marker or a chertilka, then weaken bolts and displace a latch in the demanded direction. On termination of adjustment strongly tighten fixing bolts.

5. Assembly of a latch of the lock of a cowl should periodically (at the same time with loops, see. The section Service of loops and car locks) to be processed by greasing on a lithium basis in order to avoid jammings and premature wear of components.
