Condition check, removal and installation of a brake disk

Condition check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken nuts of fastening of wheels, cock the parking brake, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. Remove the corresponding wheel.
2. Remove a brake support (see. The section Removal and installation of supports of disk brake mechanisms) also tie up it aside a wire to a suspension bracket element, without disconnecting a brake hose, try, that the hose did not appear is tense or overwound.
3. Make visual check of a condition of both working surfaces of a disk. Easy defects can be eliminated by means of a fine-grained emery paper. For removal of furrows by depth a disk it is necessary to remove and subject more than 0.4 mm to a pro-point. Remember that survey of a disk should be made from its both parties!
4. If during braking pedal pulsations were noticed, it is necessary to estimate size of lateral palpation of a brake disk. Fix a tsiferblatny measuring instrument of plunzherny type (DTI) at distance about 12.7 mm from external edge of a disk (address to an accompanying illustration). Null the device and start to rotate a disk. The result of measurement should not fall outside the limits the admissible range stipulated in Specifications, otherwise it is necessary to give a disk to a pro-point.

Originators of the real Management recommend to make a pro-point of disks regardless of their condition for the purpose of removal from working any surfaces of defects. As a last resort it is possible to be limited to disk processing by a fine-grained emery paper.

5. At a pro-point of a disk it is necessary to give particular attention to observance of requirements of Specifications to its minimum admissible thickness, on a face surface of a disk the corresponding marking is provided. Measurement of thickness of a disk is made in several points by means of a micrometer.

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove from a rotary fist the ABS sensor.
2. Remove brake shoes and a support.
3. Remove assembly of a nave and separate it from a brake disk.
4. Carefully wash out and examine components of assembly of a disk/nave.
5. Make nave assembly, establish it on the regular place and make adjustment of a pretightness of the wheel bearing.
6. Establish into place support assembly with brake shoes (see. The section Removal and installation of supports of disk brake mechanisms) also pump over brake system (see. Section Pumping of brake system).
7. Establish wheels, lower the car on the earth and tighten wheel nuts with demanded effort (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car).
